Even as the scene of manoeuvrings and lobbying in connection with the organisational revamp in the state unit of the Congress has shifted to New Delhi, V M Sudheeran, the assertive opposition voice within the party has shown his protest on expected lines.
“The promise that discussions will be held with people like me before finalising something was not kept,” an angry Sudheeran told mediapersons here on Monday, buttressing the fact that the revamp is not going to be a smooth affair in the state unit. “If there is a stand that people like me need not be consulted, it should be disclosed,” he said and criticised KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala for being disloyal to him.
“It is painful when the people whom you work with cheat you,” he said. Sudheeran asked Ramesh to disclose whether his failure to keep the promise was owing to any unwillingness on the part of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
“Or is there any other interest which had prevented the KPCC chief from holding talks on the revamp?” Sudheeran asked.
