CHENNAI: Members of the TN Makkal Nala Paniyalargal Munnetra Sangam (TNMNPMS) have moved the HC again to review its earlier order dated April 26 last, by which the HC had directed the government to give five months salary as a one-time payment to the MNPs. On April 26, Advocate-General A Navaneetha-krishnan had submitted that the govt was prepared to pay five months salary. Counsivision bench comprising Justices Elipe Dharma Rao and M Venugopal gave theel for the MNPs associations agreed for the same. Following this, a d direction. In the review application, the TNMNPMS submitted that fresh elections were held on April 3 and new office-bearers were elected. After his exit, the former general secretary M Palani had not handed over the details about conducting the case. Without permission of the executive committee or the general body, he suo motu had made a suggestion before the court to accept five months salary as a one-time settlement, thereby compromising the case. Today, senior advocate P Wilson made a mention before a vacation bench comprising Justices V Dhanapalan and B Rajendran about the filing of the review petitions, in view of the urgency of the matter. The Bench told the counsel to move the petition before the regular Bench.
