Review: 'Sahi Dhandhe...' is not for masses
The film caters to a niche audience and may not be a box office spinner.

Cast: Parvin Dabas, Vansh Bharadwaj, Ashish Nayyar, Kuldip Ruhil, Sharat Saxena, Anupam Kher, Kiran Juneja, Tena Desae

Director: Parvin Dabas

The film caters to a niche audience. In spite of being packed with brilliant performances and a powerful story, it needs a tad bit more oomph to create the right effect. 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande' is not a movie for the masses.

The story of the film revolves around a gang of four friends, Rajbir (Parvin Dabas), Sexy (Vansh Bharadwaj), Ambani (Ashish Nayyar) and Doctor (Kuldip Ruhil) who are offered an enormous amount to get a job done. While the money is lucrative the job is dirty. Fauji (Sharat Saxena) who gets the biggest booty out of the deal aims to carve a path into politics with the money.

On route to completing the mission, they deal with other local goons, businessmen and politicians. While some can be dealt with money the others are handled with force. They know their intentions are good but the route they take isn’t. The film revolves around the plight of farmers and land acquisition. Several instances are taken from real life incidents while the rest are fictitious.

Parvin Dabas' directorial debut tells a powerful story, which is both relevant to recent times and is light at heart too. The screenplay has a slow start but picks up pace eventually. Music by Suhas, Siddharth, Dhruv Dhalla, and Master Mahavir Chopra is fresh and catchy. 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande' keeps the story simple but fails to create an impact. There is a very clear message in the film but it is not powerful enough.

As a director, Parvin Dabas has done a good job while as an actor he is great. Vansh Bharadwaj, Ashish Nayyar and Kuldip Ruhil who play his friends gave an honest performance. Anupam Kher's true potential was not used well in the story, Sharat Saxena was convincing as a local goon trying his best to enter politics. Kiran Juneja was average and Tena Desae looked good in the little screen time that was allotted to her.

On the whole, the movie is not a box office spinner and may not be able to create an impact. However, it will make a good DVD watch.
