RSS to Organise Show of Strength ‘Rashtroday Samagam’ in Meerut, 3 Lakh Expected to Attend
The organisation claims this will be the biggest ever gathering in the history of RSS, surpassing the big gathering in Kollam where around 92 thousand workers participated in 2010.

Lucknow: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is planning to organise a show of strength rally in Meerut on February 25 to showcase its presence in western Uttar Pradesh.

Called ‘Rashtroday Samagam’, around 3 lakh RSS workers have registered to participate in the programme.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will be the chief guest of the programme.

The organisation claims this will be the biggest ever gathering in the history of RSS, surpassing the big gathering in Kollam where around 92 thousand workers participated in 2010.

The Meerut zone have been divided into three commissioners and 14 administrative blocks by the RSS, which is further divided into six mahanagar and 18 district units. In every district unit and mahanagar, a target of 10 thousand workers was given. Also, an average of 25 people per village out of total 10,580 villages is expected to turn up for the Rasthroday Samagam event in Meerut.

As per the information from RSS sources, the RSS was running campaign for quite some time to make the event a grand success. A door to door campaign was being run since October last year and approximately 5700 RSS workers were going from door to door to do the registration for the RSS event. The RSS also claims that this region is the first region where in every village RSS workers are present and have registered for the mega event. By the means of registration, RSS has also been able to gather the data and phone numbers of three lakh people.

Speaking to News18, prant pracharak Dhaniram said, “Till date 3, 01, 001 registrations have been done for the event. The website of Rasthroday Samagam will be once again open for registration on 1st February from 10am to midnight of 2nd February. The grand event will be held in 1200 acres of land at Gadh Road in Meerut.”

The Rashtroday Samagam also hold a strategic importance as the places from where the registrations have been done, also consist of Muslim and Dalits dominated areas in Meerut, Sambhal, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Shamli, Amroha, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Rampur, Noida and Ghaziabad. Out of total 3 lakh registrations, 1.7 lakh will be also joining RSS and will be present in RSS uniform.
