Sankar new Forests Secretary

CHENNAI: The State  government on Saturday transferred many IAS officers, including the Collectors of four districts and four Municipal Corporations.S Natarajan (Junior), Collector, Tirunelveli district, will take over as the Deputy Secretary to Tamil Development, Religious Endowments and Information Dept, while R Selvaraj, Collector of Thoothukudi district will assume charge as Collector of Tirunelveli district.Ashish Kumar, Collector, Kanyakumari district, will assume charge as Collector of Thoothukudi district and S Madhumathi, Deputy Commissioner (Health), will be taking over as Collector of Kanyakumari district.G Laxmi Priya, Additional Collector (Development) and Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, Krishnagiri, has been appointed Commissioner of Salem Corporation.Ajay Yadav, Joint Commissioner (Enforcement), Commercial Taxes, Coimbatore, has been transferred to function as Commissioner of Tirunelveli Corporation. Similarly, K Veeraragahava Rao, Additional Collector (Development) and Project Officer, DRDA , Cuddalore, will assume charge as Commissioner of Tiruchy Corporation.S Natarajan, Commissioner for Disciplinary Proceedings, Madurai, will assume charge as the Commissioner of Madurai Corporation.P Amudha, Commissioner of Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax, will assume charge as MD of Tamil Nadu Corporation of Development of Women Limited.Satyabrata Sahoo, Member-Secretary, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDATN), will assume charge as the Additional Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department. He replaces M Vijayakumar who would be taking over as the Member Secretary of the SDATN.A Mohammed Aslam, Commissioner of Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities, will take over as the Commissioner of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy, while C V Sankar, Secretary and Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, has been transferred to function as Secretary to Environment and Forests Department.R Palanisamy, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Administration, will be taking over as Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.
