CHENNAI: The State Bank of India on Tuesday donated a cheque for Rs 48 lakh and handed over the keys of a ECCO Ambulance van to the Cancer Institute (WIA) Adyar, Chennai. The donations were handed over by Pratip Chaudhuri, chairman, State Bank of India as a part of the Bank’s Community Services Programme. The amount will be used by the Cancer Institute to acquire equipment for their Pediatric ward. Sharad Sharma, deputy managing director, State Bank of India, Chennai, S A Thimmiah, general manager and Dinesh Kumar Khara, general manger, Chennai Circle were present on the occasion.
