And the team from media world learnt that it was not a ‘desk’ job out in the middle. As the sun began its laborious journey to the other side of the horizon, it was the CBB Credai (Tycoons) who emerged the winners in the maiden cricketing package ‘SBT Travancore Sixes’ held at Chandrasekharan Nair on Sunday. The matches began at 9 am. The first match was played between Kerala Strikers, led by film star Bala, and Kerala Jumbos, which had lined up veteran players of the state. And they soon realized that facing the cops on the street during reporting was easier than anything else. The stubborn journalists were thrashed twice, first by Kerala Strikers and later by the elder side, Jumbos. After the league matches played in the round robin format, the top two teams, Kerala Jumbos and CBB Credai, entered the finals. Jumbos, who batted, first amassed 86 runs in five overs and sent CBB to chase a mighty target. But aided by some big hits from A Chandrasekharan and Feroz Rasheed, CBB steadily rolled on towards an amazing victory and clinched the title.Feroz Rasheed was judged man of the series and A Chandrasekharan was selected as the man of the match.
