Jodhpur: Self-styled godman Asaram's aide and Chhindwara hostel warden Shilpi's anticipatory bail plea has been rejected by Jodhpur sessions court on Thursday. She is believed to have played a crucial role in taking the girl who has accused Asaram of sexual assault from the hostel to Asaram's ashram, where the alleged crime took place.
On Wednesday, Shilpi also denied knowing Asaram. Police had claimed that Shilpi allegedly fed the victim stories about ghosts and spirits to lure her away. She has been absconding since August 29.
Asaram, accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl at his ashram, was on Wednesday taken to the MDM hospital for a test but he refused to give his blood for the same. He did not agree for the blood test and even questioned the police's motive, alleging that the officials would inject him with some harmful medicines.
Asaram had reportedly questioned the doctors whether he was being subjected to a narco tests.
Earlier, Asaram had in his plea asked for two-hour daily treatment in jail from lady ayurveda doctor. He had also requested food from outside the jail claiming that he was not keeping well. The court then ordered that a medical board be constituted and Asaram be subjected to some tests.
The medical team took him to the MDM hospital for MRI and health check-up. Sources said that Asaram did not seem comfortable during the the tests. The medical team has not disclosed his report which will be submitted in the court.
A lower court had already rejected Asaram's bail plea and his lawyers are preparing to move the High Court for the same.
