New Delhi: Even though the PML (N) claim that exiled former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan early next month.
Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf, in an interview to a Pakistani newspaper has said that Sharif would not be allowed to return to Pakistan and participate in the general elections.
Musharraf also reportedly said that if Sharif didn't honour his 'exile' deal, the government would jail him or send him back to Saudi Arabia.
On Thursday, the apex court in Pakistan had ruled that Sharif and brother Shahbaz Sharif were free to return to Pakistan after seven years in exile.
The PMl (N) claims that it will be difficult for Musharraf to arrest Sharif, and he will be released within a month if arrested.
A Pakistan Muslim League Central Committee meeting is to be held on Wednesday in London.
A leading Pakistani daily has also reported that Sharif's brother Shahbaz may hold talks with Pakistani Army Generals soon to negotiate a deal before Sharif returns home.
