The class X and XII board examination began in Raipur in the state on Saturday but authorities have to cancel the class 10th Environmental science paper, to be held on March 3, after the question paper of the same subject was found in the packet for class 12th examinee in Bemetra district.
According to Secondary Education Board officials, class 12th students had to take the paper of Environmental science Saturday but authorities found question papers for class 10 in the envelop containing of question paper for class 12th at an examination centre in Bemetra.
Class 12 students took the examination for Environmental science on Saturday.
Following the goof up, the examination for the subject, the examination of which was to be held on March 3, has been canceled and new date would be announced soon, they said.
However, the schedule of examination for other papers would remain the same, they added.
Around 2.85 lakh class 12th students and 4.60 lakh class 10th students are taking their board examination.
