HYDERABAD: BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu has advised Congress leaders to stop their doublespeak on bifurcation of the state.Speaking at the BJP state executive committee meeting here on Thursday, he said the Congress leaders should convince the people of Telangana and Seemandhra regions that development would be on fast track if the state was divided instead of saying one thing in one region and something else in other region.“It is better to part in a spirit of camaraderie rather than stay together and fight every waking moment,” Naidu said, reiterating his party’s stand on bifurcation of the state.”The BJP had supported formation of Telangana state because it would facilitate better administration, rapid economic growth and more importantly because it is what the people of the region want,” he said. The BJP leader said lack of administration in the state after the launch of Sakala Janula Samme by the Telangana JAC, resulted in utter chaos. The state is not in a position to conduct municipal and panchayat elections. There is shortage of power and acute drought in many places. The government has failed to solve people’s problems.“If the paddy farmers announced a crop holiday, the government had declared an administration holiday,” he said, adding if this trend continues any longer, the people would retire the Congress.Referring to the rampant corruption in high places, he said the people across the country were eagerly waiting to throw out the UPA lock, stock and barrel, as they were vexed with the scam after scam, soaring inflation and poor administration, Naidu said. The people are keen to see the NDA back in power at the Centre and the electoral reverses the Congress had suffered in the recent byelections are an indication to the change.
