Kota: A student has allegedly committed suicide at the coaching institute hub in Rajasthan's Kota.
Nikhil, who hailed from Bhagalpur in Bihar, was studying engineering at the Allen institute. He allegedly jumped from his hostel building late Tuesday night.
Ten students have committed suicide till July 2016 alone.
Earlier, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had expressed concern over rising level of mental stress among students in Kota and said coaching institutes should not turn themselves into factory of education.
Addressing a public meeting in Kota, she had said the government is serious on the issue and coaching institutes' owners should make arrangements for counselling of students and provide quality and values-based education so that the students do not face stress.
