TDP MLAs detained for dharna at Raj Bhavan

HYDERABAD: As many as ten Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs were taken into custody, when they staged a dharna in the governor’s peshi demanding immediate recall of Central forces deployed across Telangana region.A team of TDP Telangana MLAs led by Telangana TD Forum (TTDF) convenor E Dayakar Rao went to Raj Bhavan to meet governor ESL Narasimhan. But on knowing that the governor was not there,  the MLAs decided to stage a dharna before Raj Bhavan. However, Raj Bhavan staff invited them inside where the MLAs insisted on speaking to the governor over phone. The staff refused to disturb the governor  and advised the TDP members to meet him when he returns.Irked over this, the TDP members staged a dharna in the governor’s peshi.
