Students and teachers are gearing up to celebrate Teachers' Day on Wednesday. The Ernakulam Revenue District will formally inaugurate the ceremony at SRV High School. Deputy Director of Education M D Murali will hoist the flat at 10 am. District Collector Sheik Pareeth will inaugurate the function at 10.30 am. T K Jose, managing director of Coconut Development Board, will deliver the keynote address. Three teachers from each
school will attend the ceremony so that classes will not be disrupted. Around 30 teachers who who have 33 years’ of service will be honoured on the occasion. The function will conclude with lunch. The programme is being organised by the teachers of Ernakulam Revenue District.
