Undeterred by the "signals" emanating from Delhi that the Congress high command will take some more time to find a final solution for the separate state issue, Congress MPs from the Telangana region reiterated their support for the proposed Telangana march, scheduled for the coming Sunday.
The MPs also made it clear that they would take part in the march and show to the people of the country once again the aspirations of about 4.5 crore people of the Telangana region for a separate state.
Talking to reporters in Hyderabad on Wednesday, MP Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy said the Congress MPs from the Telangana region would take part in the march and put in all efforts to make it a grand success.
Meanwhile, MP Madhu Yashki Goud, while talking to reporters at Nizamabad on Wednesday, charged chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy with coming in the way of according statehood to the Telangana region.
"Arrests and suppressions will not stop the march. Telangana agitation will be further intensified if the state government resorts to coercive measures," he warned.
MP P Govardhan Reddy said government should ensure safety during the march.
