Theft at Sai temple in KPHB Colony

HYDERABAD: Unidentified offenders broke into a temple in KPHB Colony on Monday and decamped with around Rs 7.50 lakh worth silver.Police said the burglars broke open the door latch and gained entry into the Sai Baba temple on Road No. 2 in the colony. Silver sheets fixed to the wooden arches and boxes near the idol were peeled off and stolen.The theft was noticed by the watchman on Monday morning. Police suspect that the burglars might have entered the temple disguised as an Ayyappa devotees. Forensic experts collected fingerprints from the scene and investigation is on.
