Hyderabad: In another case of politicians misusing power, a Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA and her bodyguards attacked toll plaza employees at Timmarpur in Karimnagar district on Tuesday after they were made to wait at the toll gate.
The incident took place at the toll plaza in Timmarpur and it has been captured on CCTV.
Sources said there was an argument between the toll plaza employees and the bodyguards of Chhopadindi MLA Shobha. The bodyguards allegedly vandalised the toll plaza.
The police has not registered a complaint as no party has approached them yet.
The TRS legislator blamed the toll plaza employees while demanding a separate lane for MLAs at the toll gate. "Every day this is the problem. We have to wait because of the traffic. This is because they don't have dedicated separate lane for VVIPs. All MLAs face the same problem. So I got down to ask them why the delay. But toll employees started misbehaving with me and my gunman," Shobha told CNN-News18.
