HYDERABAD: Task Force sleuths arrested two persons of a criminal gang on Tuesday and recovered lethal weapons from them.According to police, Abdul Khaja alias chota Khaja is a resident of Hafeez Babanagar and Mohammed Younus alias Fammu, a resident of Yakuthpura in the city.On receiving information that the two persons were possessing lethal weapons, Task Force police arrested Khaja and his associate, Fammu at Edi Bazar in Santosh Nagar and took them into custody.During interrogation, police learnt that Khaja had earlier worked for one pickpocket Mansoor's gang, with Abbu Ali Khan alias Abbu who is a history- sheeter of Hussaini Alam.Abbu and Mansoor's gangs were rivals of another gangster Fayaz of Yakutpura who was ranked higher in the gangs' hierarchy. In July 2011, Abbu and Mansoor hatched a plan to kill Fayaz and take over his area, for which they procured lethal weapons. They then distributed weapons among their gang members, waiting for a chance to kill Fayaz. However, some of Mansoor's gang members namely Ataullah Khan alias Chawoosh, Syed Khaja, Fammu Khan were arrested while Abbu and Khaja managed to escaped. When the gang members were in jail, Abbu forced Khaja to give him a major share of their cell phones' theft. He harassed Khaja and beat him up, insisting him to give it.Unable to bare Abbu's torture, Khaja formed his own gang with old friends Fammu, Farru, Naser and got separated from Mansoor's gang. While he and his associates were waiting for an opportunity to kill Abbu, Khaja and Fammu were arrested and handed over to police.
