Two women deliver in autorickshaws due to poke-marked roads in Nashik

Two women delivered in autorickshaws in separate incidents in the district today apparently due to pothole-ridden roads, authorities said.

Sangita Nirbhavne, a resident of a tribal hamlet, was going to a primary health centre (PHC) in an auto when she went into labour due to pockmarked Lasalgaon-Nimgaon road.

She gave birth to a baby boy, PHC sources said. In similar incident, one Savita Gite, a resident of Ambegaon in Yeola taluka, was going to a PHC at Nimgaon Wakada village in an autorickshaw when she went into labour due to bumps on road.
