THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vigilance Court here on Monday directed the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) to submit a detailed probe report on February 17 in connection with the controversial TTP corruption case. The court issued the directive while rejecting the plea of VACB seeking more time for the submission of the probe report. The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau had requested three more months’ time to submit the report. It is alleged that there was corruption in connection with the sanctioning of a project and purchase of equipment for Travancore Titanium Products Ltd during the tenure of the previous UDF government. The allegations of corruption were raised in a petition filed by Jayan, a former employee, seeking a directive from the court to VACB to register an FIR and conduct proper investigation into the allegation of corruption and to ensure that the investigation is completed in a time-bound manner.
