KARUNAGAPPALLY: The maiden Techno-management Fest of Amrita University Vidyut-2012 was inaugurated by Subroto Bagchi, Chief Operating Officer, MindTree, on the University’s Amritapuri Campus here on Tuesday.Bagchi said that with modern life becoming complex and challenging, it was important for young generation to emulate great personalities such as Amma, Mahatma Gandhi, Madame Curie and Mother Teresa.It is important for them to recognise that brilliance and patience can change the world. People living in high platform with a great purpose are rare but can definitely be found in the lives of such great personalities.Vidyut 2012 will be held from February 1 to 3 and more than 2,500 students from all over the country will participate.Blender 3D game development, android application development, embedded robotics, rubics problem solving, cyber security, assembling and disassembling of passenger car and a self-sustaining science village are major attractions of Vidyut. 13 workshops and 33 competitions will be held as part of Vidyut.
