New Delhi: Thuppaki is definitely one of the highly anticipated films of the year, as it marks the coming together of two famous film personalities — director AR Murugadoss and actor Vijay. And now, after canning the film for 60 days, it is reported that a Bollywood remake is already on the cards for which Murugadoss and Akshay Kumar will team up.
Vijay is playing an encounter speacialist in Thuppaki, and has been paired with Kajal Aggarwal in this action flick. Says a source in the know, "The remake rights of Thuppaki rest with the director Murugadoss himself, and it is no surprise that he has already finalised a star for its Bollywood remake. Akshay Kumar will play the lead and shoot for the Hindi version will begin after the Tamil movie has been completed."
While Akshay Kumar's movies Housefull 2, Joker and Rowdy Rathore are ready to hit screens, he is currently working on projects Oh My God, Khiladi 786 and Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2. AR Murugadoss and Akshay Kumar are expected to do the remake after Akshay completes these films. The filmmaker, who is currently shooting in Mumbai, could not be reached for comment.
