THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has clarified that the statement of CPM state secretariat the other day in support of the disciplinary action initiated against proVS protestors at Kanhangad, was issued as per the decision of a state secretariat meeting attended by V S Achuthanandan among others."The party decided to point out that VS's statement had created some confusion because of two reasons first, the Central Committee hadn't approved those demonstrations; second, the state committee has decided to initiate disciplinary action against those party workers who had taken part in the antiparty rallies," Pinarayi Vijayan wrote in an article in party mouthpiece 'Desabhimani' on Thursday.Pinarayi issued a clarification in the wake of VS's repeated utterances that demonstrations supporting him during the Assembly election had been approved by the Central Committee.The article vehemently criticises Berlin Kunhananthan Nair and labels him as a 'fake'. He said naming Berlin as one of the architects of the CPM would be shameful. Pinarayi warns that by parading such individuals, nobody should attempt to create issues in the state unit of the CPM.
