New Delhi: Apple previewed a spate of new features in its upcoming iOS 8 software at the annual developers conference in San Francisco on Monday, and quite a few of them appeared to be borrowed or copied from existing services.
The Cupertino giant appears to have lifted a few of WhatsApp features for its iMessage service - the ability to tap to record and send audio messages, include video and location information in conversations.
WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum, was obviously, not so pleased. Taking a dig at Apple, Koum has made a sarcastic tweet saying, "very flattering to see Apple 'borrow' numerous WhatsApp features into iMessage in iOS 8."
While there are many other features that Apple seemingly has copied from services including those of Android and Motorola.
