Florida: Troubled Tiger Woods drove his tee shot a mere 122 yards at the second hole of the WGC-Cadillac Championship on Friday as the former world number one's swing difficulties continued.

Woods' scratchy effort at the 400-yard, par-four hole on the Blue Monster course did not even reach the ladies tee, the latest low in what has been a miserable spell for a player who has not won since the Australian Masters in December 2009.

Woods, who is working on a new swing, was unfazed by the shot and followed it with a powerful three wood from the rough that sailed 246 yards before recording a bogey.

"I've done it before. I mean, it's not the first time I hit a snipe. Did it at the Masters. It is what it is," said Woods. "I hit a bad shot, no big deal, left myself with an opportunity to make par ... and hit a bad pitch."

Adding to the frustration, Woods skied his tee shot at the par-four 14th when his ball looped just 188 yards.

Woods produced some excellent recovery shots but was again let down by difficulties on the green as he finished two over for the round, leaving him even par after two rounds, tied in 34th place and nine shots off the lead.

"Certainly it was not one of my better putting rounds today. I had a hard time with the grain. I missed basically only two putts on the high side today and everything was on the low side. Just couldn't play enough break," said Woods.

"Even if I hit good shots today, if I just putt normal, I shoot 3- or 4-under par today. That's about how good it was. You just have to keep grinding, keep working."

What's your reaction?
