HYDERABAD: Wondering how to start your business? Wished you were a billionaire for the umpteenth time? It isn’t Mission Impossible. Money, honey, isn’t the key. In the words of MS Reddy, a scientist-turned-entrepreneur, “an entrepreneur doesn’t need money to make money. It is just his idea that will make money.”The man, who runs ADFAC Labs and IMAC Inc in Denver, Colorado and who holds over 150 US and international patents, believes that for one to be a billionaire, he needs to “dream first, get the goals right and persist” in his endeavour. Interestingly, a bit of philosophy, wisdom and meditation too, he says, will help. In the city at the invitation of the North American Telugu Association, the Cheese King as he is called, addressed a business seminar on “How to Become a Billionaire Businessman” at the Taj Deccan on Thursday. Citing the examples of Pizza Hut, Dominos, McDonalds and KFC, he pointed out that all of them had started from scratch. “Please turn your attention to entrepreneurship. There is a difference between a businessman and an entrepreneur. A businessman is a gambler. He may hit the bull’s eye or bow out of business but an entrepreneur will always remain focused on his business,” he explained.Reddy, who wants to inspire and help at least 10,000 people become billionaires, evinces a keen interest in religion and draws parallels between Hindu Gods and entrepreneurs. Explaining the qualities of Lord Ganesh, he said “the large forehead symbolises the ability to think, the sharp eyes depict the capacity to focus on one thing at a time, the four hands stand for multi-tasking and the broken tusk for the sacrifices made. The mouth reminds us to be mindful of our language and the huge tummy ..well, tells us to digest any problems. The mode of transportation, mouse, is a small carrier that can carry out unbelievable tasks.”He also pointed out that an aspiring entrepreneur needs to be knowledgeable. “Knowledge is equally important. Ignorance leads to anxiety, fear and ultimately, failure,” he observed.
