TIRUVALLA: St Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, was leading on the third day of the Mahatma Gandhi Youth Festival ‘Sargodayam-2012’ here on Friday. Interstingly, Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, and RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura, were tied at the second spot. Close on the heels was Sacred Heart College, Thevara. As many as 15 events were completed of the 21 events. St Teresa’s College got 25 points, while Maharaja’s and RLV College of Music and Dance got 22 points each. Sacred Heart College, Thevara, got 21 points. SB College, Chanaganassery, got 20 points.In clay modeling, Rahul K R of UC College, Aluva, came first with Vishnu Prasad of Carmel Engineering College, Perunad taking the second position while the third position was shared by Suraj S of S H College, Thevara, and Chinjith Chandran of RLV College.In quiz, SB College, Changanassery, came first; SCMS School of Engineering and Technology, Karikutty, second and St Gits College of Engineering, Pathamuttam, third.In poster designing, Bonie P Varghese of FISAT, Angamaly, came first. Pranavia Prathapan of Alphonsa College, Pala, won the second prize and Akhil Antony of St Albert’s College, Ernakulam, came third in the event.J C Sabareesh Prabhakar of RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura, won the first prize in the Stringed Insturment (eastern) event.Nanda Kishore of RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura, came second while Manjunath P of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Pampady, bagged the third spot. In wind instrument (eastern), the first prize was won by Gopika Krishna of Saintgits College of Engineering, Pathamuttam. Stinish T A of RLV College of Music and Fine Arts came second and Vysakh V K of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Pampady, third. In kathaprasanagam, Ankitha Lakshmni of St Teresa’s College won the first prize while Neenu Rajeev of UC College, Aluva, and Santhana Marima Chacko of Alphonsa College, Pala, won second and third prizes respectively.In light music vocal (Indian), Uthara R krishnan of SH College, Thevara, won the first prize. Gayathri R of CMS College, Kottayam, came second and Shilpa Raju of St Peter’s College, Kolenchery, third.
