In 2013, Narayan Singh of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Harish Chandra of BJP by a margin of 575 votes which was 0.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 36.84% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Amra Ram of CPM won this seat beating Narayan Singh of INC by a margin of 4,919 votes which was 3.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 34.83% in the seat.
