If you've ever had your heart broken, it's time to commiserate at the Museum of Broken Relationships, opening on June 4 in Los Angeles.

Founded by John B. Quinn, the museum will house some 300 pieces in over 3,500 feet of exhibition space. The museum aims to take visitors on an emotional journey in an attempt to show that heartbreak doesn't always have to be a bad thing. A private confessional space will allow visitors to leave anonymous notes.

"The museum is an opportunity for visitors from around the world to experience the emotions and memories embodied in objects and told through narratives contributed by others," said Quinn. "From this we learn how different people and their relationships are, but also, when it comes to break ups, how much we share."

The concept for the museum originated in Zagreb, Croatia, where a Museum of Broken Relationships was created by former artist couple Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić in 2010.
