The designer duo's inspiration was the Islamic architecture.

While there are a plethora of options for women’s wear in the Bridal souk, men often have to resort to few selective designers with just the Bandhgalas and Sherwanis being the only option left for their wedding. But designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra's Autumn/Winter’15 haute couture collection is predominantly for men who are not wary of experimenting and standing out at their D-day. Shantanu and Nikhil's 'The Mahal' collection for men deserves a special mention as each piece looked striking as the male models sauntered down the runway. Their new collection is for the bold and stylish men who lure for nothing but the best.

Talking about their men’s wear collection at the ongoing India Bridal Fashion Week, designer Nikhil Mehra said, "The Indian man now is ready to take chance. From driving a classic sedan to moving into coupes and beautiful design interiors, our man is also becoming younger. He no more wants to wear a typical sherwani, he wants to be spiffy, cool and sexy."

The inspiration behind Shantanu and Nikhil ‘The Mahal’ collection was the Mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur. The designer duo loves architecture and for them it was the perfect inspiration in terms of terms of the design and colour palette.

The duo used a lot of law silk and organic fabric in their collection and as usual they also used leather which is their eternal love.

The crop jacket for men looked fabulous with the draped kurta and is certainly going to be the hottest trend of the season for men.
