Actors Arjun Ashokan, Sangeeth Prathap And Mathew Thomas Injured During Film Shoot

Actors Arjun Ashokan, Sangeeth Prathap and Mathew Thomas were injured in a car accident, while shooting for a film. This happened while the driver was trying to overtake a two-wheeler. Their car collided with two bikes parked on the road and overturned on MG Road in Kochi on July 16 at reportedly around 01:30 am. Reportedly, a stuntman was driving the car. The vehicle went out of control and hit another car too. As per a report, they were filming for a chase sequence for their upcoming film Bromance, directed by Arun D Jose, when the accident happened. Two other bikers had also been injured in the car accident. They sustained minor injuries and were rushed to a nearby private hospital. They are now reported to be stable.

According to the eyewitnesses and the camera footage, the car has been completely damaged. Due to the accident, police cleared the accident site of vehicles, and the filming was halted. Police have registered a case against the driver for rash driving. As per reports, the filming was carried out without safety procedures.

Bromance is an upcoming Malayalam film produced by Ashiq Usman under Ashiq Usman Productions. Recently, the makers held a special puja ceremony for the film in Kakkanad, Kerala. According to the media reports, Bromance is reported to be a comedy flick. Apart from Arjun, Sangeeth and Mathew, this film stars Shyam Mohan, Mahima Nambiar, Binu Pappu and Kalabhavan Shajohn. Arun D Jose, Raveesh Nath, and Thomas P Sebastian have penned the screenplay of this film. Govind Vasantha composed the background score and the soundtrack.

Mathew unveiled the poster of this film on April 13, 2024, which shows a bear in executive attire. The other objects lying nearby are guns, face masks, and a poster with MISSING written on it hint at a suspense-filled storyline in a humorous manner. The tagline of the film is, “Sometimes, the biggest adventure is in our own family”. The makers have revealed nothing more about the film leaving the viewers to guess for the more.

The new shooting date for Bromance is yet to be announced.
