New Delhi: Filmmaker Aishwaryaa R Dhanush met Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on day with a request to include a category in National Film Awards honouring stuntmen.
Aishwaryaa, 34, also showed clips of her documentary Cinema Veeran to the minister.
"Met honourable minster M Venkaiah Naidu sir and submitted a request letter to include stunt choreography category in national awards #CinemaVeeran. Told him would be elated if the category is included this year. As it is #50YearsOfStuntUnion My small tribute #CinemaVeeran #fingerscrossed," she wrote on Twitter.

The documentary is a tribute to the stuntmen of Tamil cinema.
Her actor husband Dhanush lauded her for taking the step. "@ash_r_dhanush very well done. Hope it happens," he tweeted.
