Today, on April 2, as Ajay Devgn celebrates his 55th birthday, Akshay Kumar took to his social media handle to wish him on the special occasion. However, what caught everyone’s attention was that the actor gave a shoutout to Ajay’s upcoming film, Maidaan, despite it clashing with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
Akshay took to the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, “My wish for you always, ‘Kar har Maidaan fateh ’ Happy birthday brother,
@ajaydevgn. Love and prayers .”

Meanwhile, while the makers had dropped the trailer of Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited film, Maidaan, last month, they have released a second, final trailer today. Maidaan is based on football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, under whose leadership the Indian football team won the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962. The film was delayed multiple times despite the shoot being wrapped.
Ajay Devgn will be essaying the role of Syed Abdul Rahim in the film to tell the story of this unsung hero who was responsible for taking Indian football to new heights and winning accolades for the country. The team at that time comprised illustrious players like Chunni Goswami, PK Banerjee, Balaram, Franco, and Arun Ghosh.
The Ajay Devgn starter is scheduled to be released on April 10. The film will clash with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s upcoming film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is all set to release on Eid. The film also stars Manushi Chillar and Alaya F in key roles. The film features Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist. It is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is jointly produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar.
