Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be collaborating for the first time in the spy universe film Alpha. The film has been creating a lot of buzz among the audience since its announcement. Well, in a recent update, both actresses will be starting their Kashmir schedule shoot on August 24. Danik Bhaskar has also reported that Hrithik Roshan is likely to join them.
As per a report in Dainik Bhaskar, a source close to the production revealed, “Alia and Sharvari will be shooting in Kashmir from August 24 onwards. The team has meticulously planned the action sequences, and there’s even a possibility of Hrithik Roshan joining them for a special cameo. The first major action sequence will pit Sharvari’s character against Bobby Deol’s, promising to be a visual spectacle.”
Earlier, a new report claimed that Hrithik Roshan is reportedly set to make a special appearance in the film and will be reprising his role as Kabir from War within YRF’s spy universe. It is said that Kabir will step in as a mentor to Alia Bhatt’s character. Alpha is being produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Shiv Rawail.
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari teased the project earlier in July with a joint post, saying, “It’s the time of the ALPHA… Girls!” You can catch the first glimpse of Alpha here.
In a recent interview, Sharvari discussed how her Vedaa co-star John Abraham guided her in preparation for Alpha. “I don’t think anybody can do better than John. So to be able to learn from John, I think I’m taking a lot of knowledge and getting into Alpha because I have seen John perform action in front of me and some incredible action set pieces have been directed so I was looking at John performing every day and I was trying to note what happens. He is super kicked about Alpha,” the actor told Pinkvilla.
Alia Bhatt’s standalone YRF Spy Universe film was confirmed earlier this year when Yash Raj Films’ CEO Akshaye Widhani said, “As one of the most prized IPs, we take a lot of pride in it. So there’s a lot of stuff that’s going to come in the spy universe. We’re going to see more and more films getting made under it. But, of course, not going to share everything here. We will talk about it at a more opportune time. For now, I can say that Alia Bhatt is headlining a spy universe film.”
Over the years, YRF has established its Spy Universe in the film industry. Before Alia and Sharvari, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have also been a part of YRF Spy Universe films. While Katrina played an ISI agent Zoya in the popular Tiger franchise, Deepika essayed the role of an ISI spy Rubina in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. Kiara Advani also joined Spy Universe recently. She will be seen in Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-led War 2.
