Aparshakti Khurana Praises Akshay Kumar's Comic Timing In Stree 2 Cameo

Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has become a major box-office success. The horror-comedy has become an instant hit with its compelling storyline and comic timing. In a recent interview with Faridoon Shahryar, Aparshakti Khurana, who plays Bittu, delved into the intricacies of his role and shared insights about his co-star, Akshay Kumar. Aparshakti Khurana lauded the actor’s exceptional comedic timing, noting that it greatly enhanced the film’s horror-comedy dynamic.

He reminisced about spending nearly 20 days with Akshay in the United States. Aparshakti Khurana called Akshay Kumar both enthusiastic and disciplined. “Jab wo ek scene bhi karne aate hain to bhi isi energy ke saath aate hain ki wo poori film ka part hain. Itne zyaada dil ke saath aate hain (When he comes to do even a scene, he comes with the same energy that he is a part of the entire film. He comes with so much heart),” he said.

The actor went on to say that Akshay Kumar has remained “relevant” and “fit” over the years, which is not easy in the industry. Aparshakti, also stated that there is a lot to learn from him.

Akshay Kumar appeared in the later half of Stree 2. He works as a leader in a facility for specially-abled patients. His character is shown as the last living member of the demon Sarkata’s family. Stree 2, is the sequel to the 2018 film Stree. The film’s original cast members reprised their roles in the recently released horror comedy. Aparshakti also returned as the friend of Rajkummar Rao’s character in the sequel. The film also featured Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi.

Before, Stree 2, Aparshakti Khurana was seen in the well-acclaimed web series Jubliee. Jubilee is a multi-starred show on Prime Video. It delved deep into the 1950s film industry and also starred Prosenjit Chatterjee, Sidhant Gupta, Aditi Rao Hydari, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ram Kapoor.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein was released on the same day as Stree 2 and has received favourable reviews. He has movies like Welcome To The Jungle, Skyforce, Jolly LLB 3, Housefull 5 and Hera Pheri 3 in the pipeline.
