Check out Eddie Redmayne's first look from his upcoming movie 'The Danish Girl' where he plays a transgender artist

Eddie Redmayne who won the best actor Oscar for his performance as Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything', is undergoing another transformation for his latest film 'The Danish Girl'.The first look at Redmayne's portrayal of transgender artist Lili Elbe in the film has been released.Born as Einar Wegener, the Danish artist was the first man to undergo a sex-change operation. The film focuses on the love story between Wegener and his wife, Gerda Gottlieb, as he makes his pioneering journey to become a woman in the 1920s. Alicia Vikander is playing Gerda.The film is based on the 2001 novel by David Ebershoff. Lucinda Coxon wrote the screenplay.
