'Embodiment Of Love And Sacrifice': Thalapathy Vijay’s Mother’s Day Post Is Pure Gold

The world celebrated Mother’s Day on May 12, filling the internet with pictures, videos, and wishes for Mother’s Day. Some of the biggest names in the South Indian entertainment industry, including Nayanthara, Mohanlal, Trisha Krishnan, Raashi Khanna, Jyotika, and Kajal Aggarwal, also shared their photos and heartfelt wishes for their mothers. In case you missed it, on May 12, Thalapathy Vijay also celebrated the wholesome day by sharing a heartwarming post that is unmissable.

Actor Vijay shared a picture on the official handle of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, which read, “I would like to wish Mother’s Day to the mothers who are the embodiment of love and sacrifice of their lives for their children and family. We will worship and praise our mother not only today but every day.”

The actor recently announced that he would soon quit films to mark his political debut. He launched his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, and rumours indicate that he may run in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election.

Talking about his professional commitments, the actor has been grabbing headlines since the much-anticipated film ‘The Greatest of All Time’ was announced. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the movie is said to be the 49-year-old actor’s second-last film before his full-time entry into the political world. Talking about the star cast, GOAT also features Prabhu Deva, Yogi Babu, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Mohan, Laila, Sneha, Premgi Amaren, Vaibhav, and Yugendran Vasudevan in pivotal roles.

Recent reports suggest that over 80 per cent of the film has been shot in Russia. The film, which depicts a story of time travel, saw fans in huge numbers blocking the roads when the actor stepped out of the car in Kerala for the shooting. In a viral video, it was visible that the car in which Vijay was travelling became the object of the fans’ vandalism, and it was covered with shredded glass and dentures.

Thalapathy Vijay will also be playing a cameo role in Vijay Deverakonda and Suriya-starrer Irumbu Kai Maayavi. The film is expected to hit the silver screen on December 5, 2024.
