This year saw Fardeen Khan making a notable comeback in the industry with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. In the Netflix series, he played a Nawab named Wali Mohammed, impressing everyone with his honest portrayal of the character. Digging a hidden gem from his archives, the actor has now shared a BTS video from the sets of Heeramandi wherein his team can be seen preparing him for the role.
The clip shows a team of hair and makeup professionals applying makeup to Fardeen Khan’s face, transforming into the character that he played in Heeramandi. From hair styling to kohl and even the fake moustache, every detailing was on-point, making Fardeen look like an absolute royal Nawab. At the end of the footage, the actor also attached a glimpse of his final look. Dressed in the costume to play Wali Mohammed, the actor beautifully got into the skin of the character. Captioning the post, Fardeen wrote, “Metamorphosing into Wali Bin Zayed Al Mohammed.”

Not only netizens, Fardeen Khan’s Heeramandi co-star Manisha Koirala was also impressed with the transformation of the actor. Reacting to the post, ‘Mallikajaan’ dropped clapping emojis in the comment section.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Heeramandi premiered on Netflix on May 1. Starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Shekhar Suman, Taha Shah Badussha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sharmin Segal among others, the series is set against the backdrop of pre-Independence India depicting courtesans’ life and their contribution to the Indian freedom struggle.
Fresh off the success of Heeramandi, Fardeen Khan is now geared up to be seen in Khel Khel Mein. The comedy drama headlined by Akshay Kumar will see the actor reuniting with Fardeen nearly after 15 years. The duo previously collaborated for Heyy Babyy, released in 2007. Besides the talented duo, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal.
Not long ago, the makers of the film unveiled two new posters wherein we can see all the actors laughing followed by keeping fingers on their lips. Akshay Kumar also shared the posters on Instagram and captioned, “Yaaron waala khel… Yaari waali picture! Band Baaje ke mahaul mein… Band Bajaane waali picture! Say ‘hello’ to the biggest family entertainer of the year! Khel Khel Mein releasing in cinemas on 15th August 2024.”
