Mumbai: Bollywood music director Vishal Dadlani, while congratulating Indian composer Ricky Kej for his win at 57th Grammy Awards, said India should be proud of his global achievement.
Kej was declared a winner for his collaborative album 'Winds of Samsara' in the New Age Album category. The Bengluru-based artiste teamed up with South African flautist Wouter Kellerman on the album.
"Composer rickykej, from Bangalore, has won a Grammy for'Best New Age Album' for 'Winds Of Samsara'. India should be proud!" Vishal tweeted. Indian activist Neela Vaswani won a Grammy for a documentary on Malala Yousafzai in the category of Best Children's Album where she turned narrator.
Composer Anoushka Shankar, daughter of late India sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, lost in the best world music album category. It was her third nomination in the category.
