Happy Birthday, Priyanka Chopra: When PeeCee Shared A Scary Yet Sweet Fan Moment

Priyanka Chopra is one of the most prominent international figures in the world of acting. Today, on July 18, the actress turned 42. She won the title of Miss World at the age of 18 and ruled the silver screens with her hit films and is now a global star. Over the course of her career, she has donned the hats of a singer, model, producer and entrepreneur. Naturally, the actress has fans all over the world. In an earlier interview, she recalled a ‘kind-of-a-scary’ incident which involved a young fan and her staying in touch for about two years. She recalled the time when she lived in Mumbai, a kid studying in a boarding school in 6th grade used to stand outside her house. She said, “On the weekends, he used to tell the school that he was going to meet his family. He used to tell his family that he was going out with his friends but would actually come outside my apartment.”

She further empathised with the young fan saying that the kid used to stand there for hours hoping for her car to enter. One day, the security informed her about the kid who hangs out near her house for three or four weekends. Realising what was going on, she decided to call him upstairs for a conversation.

It turned out that the kid just “wanted to be like” Priyanka Chopra and hang out with her. He thought that the Bajirao Mastani actress would be fun to hang out with. This thought moved the actress, who shared that the kid felt that he thought Priyanka Chopra could be his friend by just watching her films and interviews. So, she decided to be a friend and gave his parents a call to inform them that their kid was at her place and safe. “We sent him back to school. We stayed in touch for a couple of years. It was not crazy, it was a sweet one.”
