Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon recently celebrated their wedding in a star-studded event attended by several South Korean artists. Among the guests, Lee Min Ho’s presence particularly captured attention due to his immense popularity and his past on-screen chemistry with the bride from their time together in the hit K-drama The Heirs. Fans, who had eagerly awaited a reunion between the two, finally got their wish fulfilled at the wedding. While Lee Min Ho didn’t share any photos with Park Shin Hye, he did treat fans to a dashing selfie in a grey suit and offered a glimpse of the wedding invitation on Instagram.
Released in 2013, Park Shin Hye played Cha Eun Sang, the love interest of Lee Min Ho’s character Kim Tan. Interestingly, in the invitation card, Shin Hye addressed Min Ho as “Kim Tan”, a reference to his character from The Heirs. In his caption, Lee Min Ho jokingly wrote in Korean, “Do I congratulate you?” For the diehard fans of the drama, they’ll recognise that the actor paid homage to the iconic moment from the original show, spoken by his character Kim Tan. In the scene, Tan proposes to Cha Eun Sang by asking, “Do I like you?” while they are together in a cinema.
Park Shin Hye’s addressing Lee Min Ho as Kim Tan wasn’t the only nostalgic moment for fans of The Heirs at her wedding. Singer Lee Hong Ki added more excitement to the festivities by entertaining guests with a beautiful rendition of I’m Saying from the series. The performance left viewers emotional and nostalgic, as it transported them back to the beloved drama. While in the show Cha Eun Sang and Kim Tan ended up together, in real life, Park Shin Hye found love with her The King of Dramas co-star Choi Tae Joon.
In the show, Lee Min Ho is shown as a member of a wealthy family, who falls in love with the daughter of their house help, Cha Eun Sang, played by Park Shin Hye. Since their debut, their teenage love story and chemistry have been loved by many. Alongside Min Ho and Shin Hye, the drama also featured Kim Woo Bin, Kim Ji Won, Kang Min Hyuk, Krystal Jung, Kang Ha Neul, Park Hyung Sik, Jeon Soo Jin and Cho Yoon Woo in key roles.
