At Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's Mumbai reception held on December 1, several celebrity couples from B-town caught the fancy of many. From Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani to Farhan Akhtar–Shibani Dandekar, the night saw many romantically-linked pairs make a stylish entry together at the function. However, the one couple which everyone desperately waited for was Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, given how close Deepika has been with the two. But unfortunately there was no sign of them at the reception.
At the time a report in Pinkvilla suggested that Ranbir and Alia's busy schedule kept them away from attending DeepVeer's reception. The report also stated that Alia and Ranbir along with Ayan Mukerji did a 20 hour shift for their upcoming film Brahmastra on December 1 and hence couldn't make it for the bash.
Now, Deepika has broken her silence over Ranbir's absence from her Mumbai wedding reception. During her appearance on Famously Filmfare, Deepika said, “We’ve not spoken. I mean, we spoke before the reception but we have not spoken after. But, that’s him. I’m not surprised at all. But, that’s the relationship we share and that’s the beauty of that relationship; so much is said without saying much at all.”
Deepika and Ranbir dated for two years before parting ways in 2009 but the two maintain a cordial relationship with each other.
