Across the country, the Lok Sabha elections are taking place in phases. Public and celebrities alike are exercising their right to vote in their respective constituencies. A new prominent name has joined this list, Marathi actor Subodh Bhave.
The fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections was held in the state of Maharashtra on May 13. Around 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state went to the polls in this phase. Notable actor from the Marathi entertainment industry Subodh Bhave was captured after casting his vote in Pune. The actor was seen with his whole family at the booth, all present to cast their votes.
The Aiyyaa actor interacted with the media during his vote visit. He said, “According to the right given to me by democracy, I am aware that the price of my one vote is very high.” He added that he came from Mumbai with his wife to vote, and will urge his son to exercise his voting right when he is 18. According to him, vote for whoever you think is right, but just vote, do not waste it.
Subodh took to his official Instagram handle to share more images from the day. The images capture him with his family members, posing with their fingers up, showing the vote mark, with a proud smile on their faces. He has captioned the post in Marathi, which translates to, “Let’s celebrate this festival of democracy. Let’s vote! We made it, you do too! Jai Hind!”
The netizens applaud the actor’s gesture as a citizen of India. The first user wrote, “Celebrities motivate others too. Action is louder than words. Congratulations.” A second user stated, “Done here too, voted! People had a lot of enthusiasm!” And a third fan shared, “Cool! We also voted. Jai Hind.” The post has gained thousands of likes on the platform.
The actor is making his comeback to the small screens with the new show Tu Bhetashi Navyane. He is going to be seen with actress Shivani Sonar.
