Sunny Kaushal is making hearts flutter with his charismatic performance in the romantic thriller Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. But it’s not just his on-screen charm that has everyone talking. Sunny’s off-screen persona is equally impressive, at least according to his brother, Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal. The brothers featured as guest stars on actor-comedian Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, in April, where Vicky spilled the beans on why Sunny is the ideal man. From being a master in the kitchen to keeping his wardrobe spick and span, Sunny has set the bar high that even their mother teasingly suggested that Vicky should take notes.
Netflix India didn’t miss a beat and decided to have fun with Vicky’s revelation. The streaming giant used his brotherly banter to promote Sunny’s desirability as the perfect marriage material. In a playful social media post, they shared scenes from Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, where Sunny stars opposite Taapsee Pannu, with the catchy romantic music, Kya Haal Hai, playing in the background.
The post was cheekily captioned, “Rani ji sunn rahe ho? (Rani, are you listening?) (btw he’s 6ft),” making it clear that Sunny isn’t just a catch on screen, he is the whole package in real life too.
The post sparked a flurry of lively reactions in the comment section. One user couldn’t help but rave, “His smile is kinda a showstopper.”
Another playfully commented, “Ek Sunny toh main bhi deserve karti hu na bhagwan? (God, I also deserve one Sunny in my life).”
Meanwhile, a fan pointed out, “He is quite an underestimated actor. His voice is also very close to Rajkumar Rao.”
Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, directed by Jayprad Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon, is the sequel to the 2021 hit film Haseen Dillruba. The sequel introduces Sunny in a new role, alongside returning stars Taapsee and Vikrant Massey. The film made its debut on Netflix on August 9.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen in comedy Bad Newz, is set to dazzle on the big screen with Chhaava, a historical epic centered on the life of Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In addition to Vicky, the film features an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava is slated for release on December 6.
