Popular Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is making waves in the Telugu film industry with her upcoming projects alongside RRR fame superstars Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Set to make her Telugu debut in the movie Devara alongside Jr NTR, directed by Kortala Siva, Kapoor’s venture into Tollywood has garnered significant attention. Additionally, she has been selected as the lead heroine for Ram Charan’s upcoming project, tentatively titled RC16, helmed by Buchi Babu. Reports suggest that Kapoor is commanding a fee of Rs 6 crore for her role in RC16, marking a significant increase from her usual remuneration in the Hindi film industry.
The news of Kapoor’s updated fee for RC16 has gone viral, with industry insiders noting her unprecedented hike in remuneration. Compared to other leading Telugu actresses like Samantha, Rashmika and Sreeleela, Kapoor’s fee stands out significantly. Furthermore, Devara is speculated to be Kapoor’s first Telugu film, with reports indicating a substantial increase in her fee for the project. While earlier reports suggested a fee of Rs 5 crore, recent updates from Deccan Chronicle claim that Kapoor is now charging a whopping sum of Rs 10 crore for Devara. In addition to RC16 and Devara, Kapoor is rumoured to be starring alongside Tamil superstar Suriya in the mythological film Karna, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Furthermore, Kapoor is slated to share the screen with Varun Dhawan in a romantic comedy movie under Dharma Productions.
