Kannada Films Avatara Purusha 2 And Matinee To Release On This Date

The upcoming Kannada films Avatara Purusha 2 and Matinee are slated for theatrical release on April 5. Directed by Manohar Kaampalli and produced by Parvathi S Gowda, Matinee features Sathish Ninasam and Rachita Ram in leading roles. Meanwhile, the Avatara Purusha sequel stars Saikumar, Bhavya, Vijay Chendur, Sudharani, Bhavya, Ayyappa P Sharma, and others in important roles.

Touted to be a comedy-drama, Avatara Purusha 2 revolves around black magic. Produced by Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah and directed by Suni, the film was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on March 22. Arjun Janya scored the music for Avatara Purusha 2, and William David handled the camera work.

On the other hand, Poornachandra Tejaswi was behind the music for Matinee, while Kranthi Varla handled the cinematography. The movie Avatar Purusha 2 brings a fresh storyline to the screen. While some parts from the previous instalment are seen, the sequel takes the narrative in a new direction.

The trailer for Matinee was released on March 27. Kannada star Darshan officially launched the trailer at an event on Wednesday at Mantri Mall in Malleshwaram. Meanwhile, the trailer for Avatara Purusha 2 was expected to be released in theatres today, i.e. April 1.

Saikumar is best known for films including Lucifer, Drishyam 2, Ennu Ninte Moideen, and Chakkara Muthu. He has a few films lined up including ARI, The Legend, Ram, Varahachakra, Bharathanatyam, and Dalamarmarangal. He was last seen in the film Manasa Vacha.

Sathish Ninasam shot to fame with films including Lucia, Love in Mandya, Ayogya, and Rocket. The actor last appeared in the film Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare. Soon, he is going to appear in a slew of upcoming films including Ashoka Blade, Dasara, Godhraa, and Pagaivanuku Arulvai.

Avatara Purusha Part 1: Astadigbandanamadalakam premiered in cinemas on May 6, 2022. It was both written and directed by Suni and produced by Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah for Pushkar Films. Lead roles were played by Sharan and Ashika Ranganath, supported by P. Sai Kumar, Bhavya, Balaji Manohar, and Srinagar Kitty. Arjun Janya provided the music, and William David handled the cinematography.
