Earlier this week, Ji Soo was swept up in multiple allegations of school violence, and he responded with a handwritten apology for his past behaviour.

Korean actor Kim Ji Soo will be replaced in the drama River Where the Moon Rises following school bullying and sexual assault allegations. A spokesperson for KBS has said that they have decided that Ji Soo would be leaving the drama.

“Ji Soo, who has recently become the center of controversy, will be stepping down from ‘River Where the Moon Rises’. We are in currently in discussions with the production company about our next steps,” they said.

Actor Na In Woo’s agency Cube Entertainment has said that the star was in talks to take over Ji Soo’s role, reported Soompi. A representative of the agency stated, “Na In Woo has received an offer to join ‘River Where the Moon Rises’ in the role of On Dal, and he is currently reviewing the offer.”

Earlier this week, the actor was swept up in multiple allegations of school violence, and he responded on March 4 with a handwritten letter of apology for his past behaviour. A person claiming to be the his schoolmate from 2006-2008 claimed that the K-drama actor was a “bully” and a “sexual predator”.

On March 2, a post was uploaded to an online forum accusing Ji Soo of being a perpetrator of school violence. The accuser wrote, “Kim Ji Soo had a bigger build than the other kids his age at the time. Starting in his second year of middle school in 2007, he roamed the school as a delinquent and performed all sorts of bad deeds.” Following this, other fellow classmates accused Ji Soo of sexual violence.
