MGR

The 1961 film Nallavan Vazhvan, directed by Neelakandan and starring actress Sulochana, marked MGR’s 50th film. The screenplay was written by Annadurai. However, the movie didn’t receive much public acceptance as it was part of the early wave of social narrative films in Tamil cinema.

Sivaji Ganesan
