Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been facing serious death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang over the past few months. These threats are related to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which Salman was accused of hunting two blackbucks during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community, which holds the blackbuck as sacred, sees the actor’s actions as highly offensive. Amid this tension, singer Mika Singh has shown support for Salman Khan by giving him a shoutout during one of his live performances.
Mika, who has lent his voice to several of Salman’s hit songs like Jumme Ki Raat and Dhinka Chika, gave a shout-out to the actor while performing at his recent event. During the show, Mika dedicated his performance of his popular track Ganpat from the film Shootout At Lokhandwala to Salman. In his performance, he addressed the threats, saying, “Salman Khan ke liye ek line hai, ‘Bhai hu mein bhai, tu fikar na kar. Uski m*a ki, uski bhen ki, jo dekhe idhar. Aapun ko bata de kabhi ho gaye phantar. Sabki ph*tni apane naam se apun jaye jidhar.'”
Fans of Salman Khan appreciated Mika’s bold gesture, flooding the comments with praise and support for both the singer and the actor. One fan called Mika “a true friend,” while another remarked, “This man deserves a heart.”
As a precaution against the ongoing threats, Salman Khan has been provided Y+ security, and his homes in Bandra and Panvel are under heavy protection. Security measures were further intensified after the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, for which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility.
Despite these challenges, Salman continues with his professional commitments. Recently, while shooting for Bigg Boss 18, he shared, “I am going through a lot in my life, and I feel like I shouldn’t have come here today. But you have to do what you have to do.”
On the film front, Salman Khan will next be seen in Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna, slated for an Eid 2025 release.
