Mohanlal and Shobana, one of the most celebrated on-screen couples in the Malayalam film industry, are set to share the screen space again for a new release. Exclusive images from the mahurat ceremony of the film were shared by Mohanlal on his official social media handles.
Mohanlal and Shobana are set to reunite in an upcoming film, being made under the direction of Tharun Moorthy. The Lucifer actor took to his official X account to share images from the film’s mahurat ceremony. He wrote, “On the set, joining in prayers as we commence filming the project led by director Tharun Moorthy and produced by M Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media. I express my deepest gratitude and seek your blessings as I embark on my 360th film venture.”

The first photo shows the two prominent actors shaking hands, as the crew looks on with excited expressions. In the following photos, the main actors are seen in a capture with the whole crew. The film is tentatively titled L360, written on the clapper, indicating Mohanlal’s 360th release of his career.
According to reports, the filming is scheduled for three months and will feature more big names. Reportedly, it is a high-budget movie.
The Mohanlal and Shobana pair is reuniting after a gap of fifteen years for the film, the reports stated. This will be their 26th release together. The pair has given some evergreen hits to the Malayalam film industry like Nirattukal, Irupattaam Noottandu and Chenkol. The two were last seen in the film Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded, which was released in 2009.
The film was directed by Amal Neerad and produced under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Some of Mohanlal’s upcoming works include Barroz, Kannapa, L2: Empuraan, Ram: Part 1 and Vrushabha.
Mohanlal was last seen in the film Malaikottai Vaaliban in the titular role. Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, the rest of the cast included Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, Manoj Moses, Katha Nandi and Manikandan R Achari. It was released on January 25, 2024.
